About Stuart & PuurKris
Stuart's journey into the territory of kinbaku began in 2014, marked by several years of broad exploration but without a clear sense of personal voice. In 2018, he encountered both aibunawa and Naka-style semenawa. Since then, he has focused on deepening his understanding of these styles, which he views as complementary. Stuart uses the word "ryote" ("both hands") to describe his approach, tying aibunawa with one hand and semenawa with the other, yet always tying with both hands.
As a teacher, Stuart focuses on floor-based techniques that explore sensuality and eroticism, while encouraging students to cultivate intention and attention in their rope practice.
PuurKris is a rope switch who loves the erotic and sensual side of rope, whether it is in a funny, steamy or vulnerable way. For her, rope feels like having a conversation to show each other their true colours. She sees Aibunawa as the main style of tying that encompasses this.
As a rope bottom, she loves to share her way of being aware of your body and being vulnerable about these feelings. Making others aware of what's going on in their body is something she does regularly as a improv theater / sex-positive / conscious kink event organiser and facilitator. Her style of facilitating can be described as open and lighthearted.
Stuart & PuurKris their connection can be described as sensual, intense and erotic. As a teaching couple the two complement each other in how they describe and see things from their perspectives.
What to expect
What is a rope jam? A rope jam is a social get together for rope enthusiasts! There is lots of space for free tying, watching others tie, and socialising. For this particular event, there will be a performance at the beginning of the evening, and the rope jam will start after the performance.
Coming alone? That’s totally cool! We very much encourage socialising & getting to know people, and in our experience most people who come to our jams are open for a friendly chat. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to find someone to tie/practice with at the jam. Self tying is also allowed & encouraged!
New to rope? Nice to meet you! Please note that a rope jam is not a workshop and no educational content is provided. Of course you are more than welcome to come to watch, or to practice by yourself or with a partner or friend. If you’re interested in learning technical rope skills & how to use them for play, we recommend keeping an eye out for our upcoming workshops!
